Bunnyhop
This is when you pull
up both your wheels both at the same time. For some riders it takes
awhile to learn, while others pick it up in a matter of days. This is a
nice article which helped me improve my hops.

Tabletop
A tabletop
(also called a pancake or a flatty) is when you turn your bars 90
degrees and your bike horizontal (flat down like a table). To do a
tabletop, push your handlebars down while at the same time bringing the
bike up in a horizontal position with your legs. |
Cross-up (x-up)
A
cross-up is when you turn your bars 180 degrees and your arms form a
cross or an x (hence the name). When doing this trick try
positioning your body back and try to get into the practice of pinching
your seat (this will get you ready for barspins)
Turndown
Turning
the bar by almost 180 degrees while looking to the back of your bike
during a jump. During the peak of your jump do an x-up and whip/kick out
your bike to the side so that your looking at your back tyre. Bring the
back of your bike back and turn your bars back and land.

No-footer, No-hander, Nothing
No-footer - When in the air extend your legs out to the side
(you may have to lift your feet of the pedals first) and back on your
pedals
No-hander - Start off by pinching your seat with your knees
and let go of the handle bars and back on before landing. Extend your
hands back for a Suicide No-hander
Nothing - Is a no-hander and a no-footer. |
Barspins
A
barspin is a full rotation of your handlebars. First you should practice
no-handers as this will get you in the habit of pinching your seat. Once
you have that dialed down try learning a barspin without a jump, just
lean your bike against something so the front wheel is in the air and
practise spinning the bars and catching it. Spin with one hand and catch
it with the opposite hand. |
360 (3-0)
While in the air
turn your head to the side and keep your eyes on the downramp and your
body should follow. It may take a while to get this. Practise on
flatland or on a small lip so you will know what your rotation angle is. |
Can-can
Opposite of a
nac-nac, it's just simply extending your feet over the tube/frame. |
Backflip
Pull up on the bars, arch your back,
tip your head back, and keep your eyes on the landing ramp. While in the
air, keep your hands on the bars and your body in a low position. Land
on your front wheel and bring the back wheel down on the ramp. Land with
knees bent and be prepared to fall the first dozen times or so. If you
land on your back wheel, you'll bounce forward and over the handlebars. |
